Not sure, this forum is POS and logs me out every click... tried again but I'm not hopeful. I'll probably try for a couple hundred if I can't get rough idea from 1980's forum.

You could get $200, but not likely. You will need to have better pictures and cleaned up squeaky clean, and rebuilt. Horrible saddle replacement needed.

As pictured I would say it is about $40

It's not the classic 80s E.T.-era Kuwahara people may be thinking of. I'd do $60 if nothing's rusted stuck, and put parts/short $ into it and then sell it to someone for $100, or give it to a kid or someone who needs a solid all round, low-maintenance/low-cost transport for commuting or occasional riding.

The really valuable Kuwahara bikes were made in Osaka, Japan during the 1980s. BMX bikes tend to bring in more cash than mountain bikes, so you have that working against you.

If that bike was made in Taiwan, it's probably got the same value as similar bikes made in Taiwan from that era - $50-200, depending on market.

Updated pics

Not sure how bad or good vintage from my Google searching it should be roughly a 94-95 which was when the Olympic teams were using them if memory serves. Where do I find country of origin?

thanks again. Sorry it is dusty in pictures it has not seen use it likely 10years but always stored indoors.

The bicycle is closer to 1990 than 1995. Suntourt 4050/XCE places it right around the crossover between entry level and mid-range. Unfortunately, the Accushift indexing system is long out od production abd incompatible with to-day's systems, making harder it and more expensive to find parts. This reduses the value, significantly. IMO, it's a $50 ATB.

+1 the accushift 7speed that used a Suntour cassete holds the value down a lot since to change it you would need to find a wheelset, shifters and deraileurs. Also it has bottom mounted rear U-brake which is another issue.

If I were buying that bike, and assuming I could get a good look at it, I might go as high as $50.00. If selling, cleaned up, I would hope to get $75.00. In truth,
