Addiction 2021.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This would explain why we probably have different ideas about swimming pool use. There's maybe 3 months out of the year when it's NOT warm enough to get in a pool here.

Sounds like heaven. Email me, then I'll call you if needed, otherwise just I'll just email back to confirm/verify everything.

I edged the Northeast lawn, it was too hot out to do the Northwest lawn also. Gotta get up early to use hand tools this time of year.

My ascent of the KOM in Innsbruck on Zwift came to an abrupt end, when this happened:

Looks like the axle broke clean through, possibly a while before I noticed it, and then maybe the pedal let go when the pedal body itself broke. I was, of course, standing on it at the time. Luckily this was on the Canyon, not one of my bikes with a standard geometry, so I didn't get my gonads reinserted forcefully into my abdomen.

I did not escape unscathed, of course.

Definitely scathed.

May be time to get some new pedals.
