Miyata 912
Was wondering what a 1984 vintage Miyata would be worth. Might buy from a guy who wants to sell for 200. Can’t post a pic but it’s in good condition and everything has been replaced.
Thanks yall

Main thing is whether the bike fits you. Do you know what size you would ride? The Miyata brand is well thought of and the 912 was a very nice bike in the day. Still a nice bike! I have a Miyata 312 and it is currently set up as a fixed gear. It will likely be the last bike I own before I finally cannot ride anymore. The frame is excellent, splined, triple-butted chromolly. Rides like a dream.
If that bike is in good shape, paint is decent and little rust, $200.00 is a good deal.

Glad you are happy but Miyata made larger frames, including a 60 and 63cm.

I actually went ahead and bought it and love it so far. Got it for 180. I’m 6’1 bike is 58 cm but seat is raised a bit so fits pretty well. Guy told me 58 cm is the biggest the Miyatas ran. They all had pretty small frames. But it’s fast and smooth and loving it so far! Was worth it
