Winter Tights Suggestions?

Winter Tights Suggestions?
Hello, just a quick plea for some help. My trusty MEC winter tights are thinning out after 20yrs.
Looking specifically for a men’s tight with the following criteria:
1. Small or Medium Tall…must be a tall length
2. windproof front, breathable back
3. no chamois
4. zippers at ankles(not a dealbreaker)
5. Waist belt or tightener(not a dealbreaker)
Does anyone know of something resembling this piece of clothing? Thanks very much for your time! Have a great next ride.

it sounds like to me basic reflective jogging pants which you can get anywhere online for around $30. The ventilation is nice but not a dealbreaker, at least not to me.

I’d suggest looking into bib tights. For “real winter”, I find them far preferable to waist high tights. They are too hot for spring but for winter, nothing I’ve found is better. I have a bunch of Pearl Izumi and some ones from Performance/Nashbar. You can find all kinds of them with weather proofing but they are kind of expensive. They last forever but the initial cost is a bit high.
I also have found that I can get good deals on the ones with chamois on clearance. It trivial to remove the chamois. All you need is a seam ripper which is just a couple of bucks at a fabric store. If you are unclear on how to use one, ask the people at the fabric shop.

I like these, they are what I use down to about 20-25 on the mt. bike, they also make a nice bib fleece tight.

Awesome. Thanks for the suggestions. Never even thought of removing the chamois…or even just leaving it there and still using bibs. I have had sores in another life, and have favourite shorts that I rely on. So will look at some of these tights. Cheers.

for example this is how the bottom of my cycling pants fit. snug, not tight
anyway I was just wondering about the fit
