WTB: Weinmann brake levers

I've just spent a chunk of time trying to straighten some bent levers for my current project, not pleased with progress; perhaps time to see what someone might have in their parts bin. Nothing fancy and I have already bought replacement hoods. Not having major scrapes on the levers themselves desired. I stole this picture off the internet but mostly this is what I have, with the cable-release on the lever itself. and I kinda need that. The set I have has oval holes/slots in the face of the lever but not really a big deal, I figure. I would have thought this is one of the most common bike parts lying around.. I could be wrong!

I may have some in the parts bin. With my big hands, I personally hate these levers and would be glad to see them go to someone who actually wants them! Let me check and get back to you!

If scarlson can't help, PM me as I might be able to. I know I have at least one, but would need to check for a second.

Those have always been my favorite Weinmann quick release mechanisms. Clean, unobtrusive and simple. Plus, you don't need to remember to do anything after replacing the wheel as they re-engage by themselves the first time you apply the brake. Excellence in design. I had the exact levers you described, but put them on a Raleigh International I sold last year.

Same as 67Carlton above, I think I have one in a bin, but not sure on condition. Shoot me a PM if the above sources don't meet your needs.

I have two decent sets. I’m looking for the band clamp screw on one.

Got nothing decent

Couple mismatched, one with the QR button, both needing a bit of polish

Just looked, and the ones I have are off-brand non-Weinmann "STAR" brand, and the Weinmann ones I have are sans quick release, but are equipped with turkey levers. Probably not what you're looking for!

Here's the set I found, with the very firm Carlton grips.

Both sets look like they would polish up fine. I presume that for the set with the integral adjusters, I'd need to trim the Cane Creek hoods I just got? Pricing?

But I appreciate you checking and posting!

Yeah, probably not, but thanks for checking! I guess those might be just right for someone else's project.

Interesting, the bike is a Raleigh and I had to cut off a set of white Carlton hoods, those were OEM on the bike. Pricing?

PM'd, but would also share that I've had some luck in the past with very warm water and considerable dish soap when removing the Carlton hoods.
