All arounder.
Technically as rubik stated, when the SL8 came out as one of the lightest bikes on the market, it was touted as a climbing bike. Makes a great all arounder tho...like comfy Tarmac with slightly less aggressive geometry in H2.

I love my Emonda SL6 now that I've dialed in the fit. 40 mile rides are effortless and hills no longer exist.*

The Emonda is no one trick pony. Yes it is one of the lightest and best climbing frames out there but with the "tuned" seatmast of the SL and the SLR the ride compliance is really REALLY good. Its a climber....its a century bike.... hell I would say its one of the best all arounders on the market.

Just waiting for Trek to come out with a truly evil bike and call it the Trek Deamon.
