Anyone ridden the road up to Larch Mountain recently?

Speaking of the one that veers off from the scenic highway in the Columbia River Gorge. I know the road was closed due to the Eagle Creek fire for quite a while, reopened 6 months or more back, but have no info on how beaten up it came out of all that. My SO has a 4-hour rock-climbing class outside Troutdale, and I'm considering throwing the bike on the car when we head over and heading up the scenic highway and then up Larch. Anyone ridden (or even driven) that road this summer?

Hikers are constantly driving remote roads, and often research road conditions ahead of time to see if their car will get them to the trail. These folks might be able to provide you up with up to date info.

If you go, please come back and share photos from the trip! 🙂
