Anyone using Vittoria Rubino Pro Speed G+?
The stock of earlier generation 25mm Vittoria Rubino Pro III Slick tires has all but dried up. I'm going to have to let go of my emotional attachment.
So my specific question is.... Anyone here using Vittoria Rubino Pro Speed G+ tires?
What is your impression re handling? Do they retain that supple feeling that the older generation Rubino Pro's have? Any feeling on longevity or durability?

I would assume they're the slightest bit more supple, going from 150 to 180 TPI. Whatever you do, don't ever try 320 TPI tires. ;-)

Using them for a few months now and love them! I transitioned from Conti's to Michelein's to the Vittoria's. Super nice ride quality, great handling and my favorite point is these are just plain fast tires. I've worked past the psychological factor, of greater speed, these things just roll fast. I now have the G+ tires on both my clinchers and tubulars. For my part I highly recommend them. My number one complaint, if anyone from Vittoria is listening; how hard can it be to make a G+ tubular tire with a black sidewall???!!!???

Also, I'm hesitant due to concerns about durability relative to the previous version of Rubino Pro III Slick which I run. Can you speak to the issue of wear, how fast they are wearing for you?
Merlin has them for $31.45 and so I'm going to try them anyway but I'm trying to decide if I want only one pair or if I want to buy a few sets.

Don't think the Rubino Speed replaces the Pro Slick, seems more of a poor man's Corsa Speed. An under-200 grams tire can't be particularly durable. For training the Rubino Pro might be the better option. I haven't tried either though, merely talking out of my arse.

I think you are exactly right about the Speed version being the poor man's Corsa as well. They are lighter than the Corsa too.

A few of my club mates roll these and are fairly impressed. I just bought a pair from PBK - they were a very decent price - but will wait until I wear the rather disappointing Specialized Turbo 24mm clinchers out before I mount the Vittorias.

I specifically wanted the tan sidewalls but the Corsa G+ tubulars are available in all black (ok, anthracite and black): https://www.vittoria.com/tire/corsa/
