Crank spindle stuck

Hi!
I am new to BmX world and very very excited to ride one.
just got a used Eastern Jane 2007. I wanted to get the BB/crank interface cleaned and lubed before riding so removed the cranks but the spindle wouldn’t come out. I’ve tried penetrating oil and mallet but it doesn’t even budge.
Any suggestions?
thanks!
KT

I have to post 10 messages before I can add in photos so I’m going to try that here

To my knowledge, the Jane has a Spanish bottom bracket (consisting of two bearings that press directly into the bottom bracket shell, a spindle, and a spacer tube that the spindle runs through and keeps the bearings from being side-loaded), so there isn't anything preventing the spindle from coming out other than age/corrosion. I hesitate to recommend that you just "hit it harder," because that can damage the ends of the spindle where the crakarms and fixing bolt go, so give the penetrating oil some time to work. Re-apply often, and lay the bike on its side so that it flows between the spindle and the bearings. Flip the bike over and do the other side. When you do get the spindle to give, go ahead and replace the bearings; they'll likely be contaminated by the same corrosion that has frozen the spindle in place.

Get another bolt that's the same size and threading as your crank bolts. Screw it in so there is a tiny gap and then hit it with a sledge hammer or a dead blow hammer if you have one.

This is the way. Proceed with caution though. Or you could always take it to your local shop man
