A Giant Restoration
Hey all.. My sis & b-i-l bought these in the mid-nineties. They haven't been touched in years, and unfortunately,
weren't maintained at all. I stripped them down, replaced a few things, and gave everything a good cleaning
and greasing. Sry, no "before" pics except one of the rims.

Wow, very nice! If those are original tires, you may want to check for cracks along the sides. IF you see cracks, its time to replace.

Great work! Those bikes look like new. If you find the braking to be difficult due to aged brake shoes, a swap to new Kool-Stop salmon pads would make quite a difference.

My sisters rims were caked with brake-crud which took a while to clean. The other bike wasn't as bad, but I forgot to clean it anyways

Those bikes look really nice, and I groove on 90s-vintage hybrids!
If they are mid-90s, then you might consider checking the back sides of the crank arms to see what model they are. If they are FC-MC12, then they are under this voluntary recall: Voluntary recall - FC-CT90, FC-M290, FC-MC12 Cranks.

Still have and love my Innova. My old neighbor bought it in about 1994 and I purchased it from her about 10 years ago. Upgraded the brakes, rear cassette and derailleur, shifters and handlebars. It's been an awesome bike.
