Vintage Frame NOS Puch Mistral build w/ new parts
Hey fellow bike nerds,
after seeing the amazing build of the Pinarelle Treviso, I felt like showing my first build too.
Unfortunately I wasn't clever enough to take too many pictures during the process, but I wanted to show off the final product.
The frame is a NOS I grabbed from our local, let's call it "craigslist" for, very cheap (at least imo). It was basically in perfect conditon, apart form a few blemishes in the rear triangle and the fork.
I built it up with Ultegra R8000 (I think that's what the groupset is called) and tubless Hunt wheels on Schwalbe One tyres. Also a Thompson Elite seatpost with a Berk carbon saddle. Oh yea, and for the bling factor, i used a KMC gold chain. Probably the most expensive chain I've ever bought
I love the final product and despite it being a rather old frame, it came in at only 9,4 kg (w/ pedals)

it's an 11-34 105 casette. The front chainrings are sub-compact 34/50. I wanted a 1:1 ratio to do the climbing I built this bike for. The whole setup is a 2x11.

Beautiful build! Great inspiration for my next build a late 80's road bike, but I don't want to derail your thread so I'll start a thread on mine when finished

Very cool! I love the colour scheme! Personally, I was looking for one of these frames, but couldnt find a good deal on them. I see thme riding around in the city all the time, but non for sale, unfortunately. Awesome bartape!
