longish NYC ride between now and tuesday?

i'm gonna go buy some elastic braces for my wrist and elbow. it's too nice out to not be taking long rides on account of lingering injuries.

anyone wanna hit piermont, nyack, coney island, the far rockaways--something fun? between now and tuesday?

I took a nice long ride 14 blocks to Uptown Juice Bar, which made my day.

I ran into VD coming into NJ off the GW Bridge just as I was about to go back into the city after my ride to Nyack. I *think* I'll be doing the same thing tomorrow morning, early. Like meeting at 9am by the Intrepid (46th & the W. Side Bikepath)

I'll probably do nyack tomorrow late morning. I might be riding the road bike though to make it easier on my knees.

it's only like a little less than a 50 mile roundtrip to piermont. it's not shortish and it's not long. it's longer than an alleycat, so it's, "longish." when it's windy, you're riding it fixed and you have no one to draft off of, it verges on long. but 9W is quiet once you get there and it's really pleasant--as long as you like rolling hills.

I'm waiting for an email from a teammate. My ride today wasn't technically a team ride...we just happened to pick up a bunch of em on the way. Originally, it was just missmercian & me.

9am isn't that early, bro! This way, you get to be back by 1...or 3 or whatever...and have the rest of your day to....well, nap...like I've been doing so far.

Did you just go up to Piermont today? You were back awfully quick. Then again, you live a lot closer to the GWB than me.

yeah. i just did piermont and back. i didn't stop and dillydally in town. i got there, thought about getting some extra liquids, decided against it and came right back.

i got back quick, but i'm paying for it now. i was beating myself up for taking a week to let my ribs and arm heal.

let me know if you decide to go tomorrow. i'll wake up early and check for smoke signals.

Hit me up with a pm next time you want to head up to Nyack, its getting boring doing solo rides. Can't tomorrow, going to the track to do some intervals.

I've been trying to do River Road and then 9w to the state line and turn around on Saturday mornings. And Nyack on Sundays.

nevermind. just did a search and found some info about this route. sounds pretty good. NYS should go ahead and make it an official bike lane seeing as how many cyclist ride it.

i dont think i'm gonna be riding tomorrow cause of the ****ed up knee, but i've been talking with some folks about riding out to the rockaways on tuesday. depending on how the knee is feeling i'd be up for that.

I once went past Upper Nyack and got home before 11am. Of course I had to be at work by 12 which is why I left so early. Yeah, I didn't get any work done that day.
