Video of coasting on fixed gear (attempted)

Trying to find a video of someone just trying to coast on fixed gear bike at speed....google not being friendly today...anyone share a link of the chaos that would ensue? I'm having trouble visualizing what actually happens...

thanks
JAG

I think folks meant that if your feet are attached to the pedals (which is usually the case on a FG), and you stop pedaling as if you were on a freewheel bike, the pedals will whip your feet around regardless. I've done it and it caused me to buck the rear wheel up and I was lucky not to lose control. Also wrenched my lower back pretty good.

I did it at about 20 mph. In those days, I rode a higher seat. Locked my left knee. Pedal shot me into the air with the bike attached to my feet. Remember noting my front wheel beyond a foot off the ground, rear wheel higher. I collapsed onto the road but since I'd just converted most if my forward speed into vertical I had little road rash. Only real damage was to the muscles of my left leg. They felt like they'd been through a meat grinder.

That was 1976. My first fix gear ride. Despite, I was sold. I've had a working fix gear and haven't ridden a single speed since.
