What about V-brake pads on disc brakes?

I do have a disc brake bike now but I don't really like the metallic scratching sound. I prefer the smooth hiss of V-brakes. What if they made a solid disc that would work with V-brake pads?

I think you've been holding on to the roach clip too long.

Resin disc brake pads don't sound as scratchy as metallic pads.

Get yourself a V brake bike and visualize the wheels as giant discs. Your problem solved.

You're doing it wrong...If you're ever going to mix different types of brakes the disc brake should always go on the front and the rim brake on the rear.

They do. It's really big, and your tires attach directly to the edge of it.

I broke my hard tail frame and the replacement would only accept disc on the rear. Big improvement as the rear brake was never strong. But up front the Vbrake will easily lock up the wheel. Plus my Ringle hub on the wheel I built does not accept a disc. This is on an old RS Tora fork. Bike has 26 inch wheels too. I'm still on the fence for a 29er.

how much wheel sucking do you do? Might want to take a break from it for a while; it's starting to impact your logical sensibility.

you could create a mp3 sound track that makes the sound you're after & just loop it playing while you ride the bicycle.

What about a can opener to uncap bottles? What about a hammer to unscrew bolts? What about thinking before typing?

Some of us use our teef fer that --- also, the proper application of a hammer can solve a lot of problems

The ready, fire, aim approach also kicks tail for typing too !

I think this was intended as an Andy Kaufman-type bit.
Like the comedy is in the responses or some such?

...and to be honest, there were a couple of good ones hahaha!
