Tire Fit Continental Terra Speed

Hi Folks.

So I have a DT Swiss r470db rim. I regularly run size 700x 38 on these with plenty of space. The Continental Terra Speed size 700 x 40. Will these tires fit on this rim with an internal diameter of 20 mm. Outer rim width 24 mm.

The box states recommended rim size: 35 mm 21C, 40 mm 23C.

I've run these tires with rims having internal widths of 17-18mm no problem (external widths 23-25mm).

yep, 20 is pretty standard for that tire size. ETRTO standard lists it from 17 to 23. I've run it from 20 to 29 internal.

For reference, you can always search for the standard: etrto tire chart
