Norco Bush Pilot ID

Hi all,

Looking to see if anyone has info on this Norco Bush Pilot I'm looking at. Curious if its a hi-ten or cromoly steel, what year and if its a good bike.

I know:
- it was made in Taiwan
- Owner got it in the 90s
- 19 inch frame

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. Better photos would help. However, based on the graphics, chainstay mounted rear brake and what are obviously not the Shimano 200GS components used during 1990-1992, I'd say this is the 1989 model. Here's another Bush Pilot with what appears to be the same decal set and components. It's tubeset is hi-tensile.

Just picked up this Bush Pilot yesterday. The serial # is stamped very faintly but it may start with an F. Google tells me an 89 was stolen and it also had a F at the beginning (but a different number). Sakae SX Oval Tech triple CR , Shimano 6 speed SIS, Araya alloy wheels, undermount rear brake and a really neat paint job.

In this case, the F-prefix may indcate Fairly of Taiwan,a known Norco source during this era. It's definitely post 1987 and pre 1990. I'm still leaning to 1989.
