Identifying an old road stem "GC"

Identifying an old road stem "GC"

It is an 80's road bike quill stem, engraved with a simple sans-serif "GC" logo. The letters are mostly overlapping, with the G facing backwards. The size of the logo is under 1cm square

Is it Campagnolo? Can't post a picture at this time so I have described it as best as possible. Thank you guys

Yes, you were the first correct poster, if spelling counts! I speculate that there was a gruppo created for Gran Compe at one time. Similarly, there was a Suntour Superbe gruppo and of course, one created for Spidel.
