Where's indyfabz?
I'm thinking most likely on another tour, but he usually checks in here pretty regularly.
I know he was getting a little tired of the arguing that goes on in these threads sometimes, not just in the touring forum, but I wouldn't think he'd leave over it. 🤔
Hoping your OK, bro. ✌️

i believe he was planning a one-week tour in january, don't recall if he mentioned the location.

I didn't see any mention see any mention of a trip and he seem to have abruptly stopped posting around December 30th. He was typically posting quite a bit every day so it is odd to be silent this long. Maybe a new years resolution? I hope he is on a tour or something and okay.

I rarely mention it if I will be away from home on this forum, but I never post when I am on a trip. It never surprises me when someone disappears for weeks.

I guess you have a point. Some people worry that someone will know they are away. It isn't something I'd be concerned about. There are easier ways to find people who aren't home to rob and just because I am not home doesn't me no one is.

I am not too concerned that someone will figure out where my home is if I say here that I am out of town. It never occurred to me that anyone on this forum would care if I do not post for several weeks.

I have read folks who worried that folks would know that someone with some nice bikes wasn't home and would seek out their empty house. That being much of a risk seems far fteched to me.

Paging indyfabz people are checking up on you. Hope you are well!
Just a helpful hint from Heloise, when making threads like this or mentioning anyone use the @ symbol and then immediately follow it with their forum handle (and it will show them and you can click on it) and it will let them know you have mentioned them when you login in and maybe via email if you have it set to that. Helpful anywhere but just typing indyfabz is just a random collection of letters but putting the @ symbol in front like veganbikes turns it into a link that alerts them to a possible mention though when done correctly the @ symbol will not show just a grey link with their forum hand;e.

I believe that is a reference to a long thread in the Road Cycling forum -

Man, I just had a weird feeling, about Indy, and I'm really bummed that he's in bad shape. 🥺 Sending you a prayer, bro. ✌️
I never knew his name is Dave, lol. He helped me out a lot, with morale support, in my early touring days. We used to be the only ones posting here, in the touring subforum, for weeks at a time sometimes, and cycommute would pop in once in awhile. It sure got busier here now, lol. 👍

I can confirm via a mutual friend that he is in the hospital, I am told with a heart valve infection and I am told it’s VERY serious.
Please think positive thoughts and/or prayers for our cycling brother. I wish I had more direct info but that’s all I have.

Will do. My friend who knows Indy has not heard anything for the past few days. He is in Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, we are all pulling for him.

His name is David, for what its worth. He has posted pictures for years with his name attached so this isnt some privacy invasion thing, but rather an attempt to keep those interested up on who Indy is and his status.
Edited to remove last name for mod.

Nonetheless, I’d prefer to hear clearance come directly from David instead of from someone making an assumption. Let’s call him David or Indyfabz.

Get well Indyfabz.
If it's endocarditis, he's most likely recovering from open heart surgery, and exercising by walking an IV stand up and down the hallway instead of pedaling.

Good news indeed. Hopefully he's getting this thing in the rear view mirror.
