Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yesterday's puzzles were crap, and so was the rest of the day. Let's hope this portends better.

Thanks to my youtube chiropractor (who also has a brick and mortar office), I got my first good night's sleep in nearly a week. Somewhat clear sinuses and an unclamped jaw. Let's see how I do on the morning puzzles while fully awake and rested.

I’ve got a sore throat, headache, earaches and a cough. Debating on taking a Covid test but it feels like a standard cold. Supposed to do a 44 miler with a group this morning but going to have to forget it.

Maybe work on the Shag Wagon, instead. Do some body work.

Late ride start today and it's going to be windy, depending on which weather service you believe. No e-bikes today, just 2 of us going.

I say 50-50 it's covid. Just do the test for peace of mind.

The current variants do not cause lower respiratory disease or ARDS, so it's realistic to say that covid is now a cold. But it's still super-contagious.

Yup. So you know the drill. Isolate for 5 days. Then mask 100% next 5 days. Take fluids and, if needed, tylenol and OTC cough medicine. I do NOT suggest Paxlovid as it's a dirty drug with lots of interactions and side effects, for what is likely minimal benefit. PM me if you want.

Get well!

That's going to be a long 5 days isolating in the love mobile.

When Heidi came home last May, the T line was dark even before the liquid hit the C line. It's typically stronger earlier in the course when you are shedding more virus and more contagious.

Oh btw no need to re-test. It does not really change anything and some people will still test positive for several weeks even though they are no longer contagious or sick.

Thanks, Doc. My wife doesn't feel as bad as me but I assume she's positive, too. She's actually out riding at the moment.
