In my defense I briefly had Turgis. Bummer about Sagan and his mechanical at the base of the Poggio!

Geez, GrainBrain . You fired 10 transfers at a pokey little Cat 2 race? !! You know you only have 30, right?
You sure did crush it. At a price. And it's a long way still to wherever the heck we're going.

There were ten races including Brugge and I had thirty transfers so... 30/10 is ten right? Right!!??
You won't distract me from the fact that I chose the fastest bingoal pauwels sauce rider, Dupont in 14th place! Marginal gainz!

Oof why would you risk participating in this race?
Brugge - Yikes that last 15km was crazy!

The only thing trickier than that finish is going to be backing out all those sprinters for the lumpy races ahead and still having a pick or three for all the flu going around.

I will have a lousy showing in Superclasico for E3 but decent result in Spring Classics. Lousy moving swapping out Girmay for SKA, though. D'oh!
Wow, Wout and TJV. LaPorte is shining, too.
Insight of the day: "bike racing is really hard."

Not pushing buttons. Or pushing buttons. The VG frustrations abound in all directions. "Bike racing is hard." So is armchair DSing.

Let's all pour one out for Craddock today ...
I found a piece of paper with my VG picks showing how I omitted him from my roster and a note that simply said "keep up the good work". It was taped to a small box with an old huffy saddle inside. I don't really know what this means, other then I desperately hope to see him again in the classics.
Memories of a past Vuelta assist ...
I thought The Mole was nuts on the Laporte pick but geeze! Do we just give Wout the green jersey now?

Props for pointing out your mistake in this thread where you smartly and efficiently held onto those two riders.
Super Classico you can miss a race and not get too far back.
I'm like all in now on Dupont and Valgren I suppose. Valgren had a showing, that's promising! Close to the same roster for Gent Wevelgem so I expect to get stomped again by 'bob

Picks are in. The budget is tight and those limited transfers are vexing. I think I'm pat through de Ronde. We shall see.

Thanks Grainbrain. I pulled Benoot out at the last minute. Dang it. Great race. I thought Pogocar group would catch em. But there were some big-time riders in group 1.

Recap at the midway point of the 12 race season.
The interloper who shall not be named continues to crush it.
semroc with a convincing stage win at the Ronde takes a sizable gap in the GC of those who shall be named. However, he has burned all his transfer matches and is along for the ride for the rest of the season.
I have finally managed to reel back in GrainBrain after his earlier transfer-palooza (for E3?). Whether or not his starvation diet of transfers contributed to being a half dozen hillengen behind Flanders' field is unclear without more effort than I will make, but it sure helped me close and come minimally through. He does make up for a few less points than me with two more transfers. It's close.
canam73 and ooga-booga are on & off again. I'm sure I speak for some of us when I say our thoughts and prayers are with them, but do not count them out for future events that are more the fire & forget type.

@semroc and I had a ~1500 point difference before the Flanders run abouts!
The 1100 point difference in the Ronde was a real gut punch!

have given this particular game the one-fingered salute and really only planning on actively damaging (auto correct-haha, actually typed in managing) the remaining three classics.
no me gusta the damned limited transfer nonsense.
