Pads vs disc brakes on conversion

I have received hate on other forums for using pad brakes, and not just pads but the original ones from 1988, I bought new cables and adjusted them very tight, it’s been four years of me braking at 40mph and I don’t need new pads, my bike is a nice weather toy that never sees water which would affect the braking, I guess what I’m trying to say is if you don’t think factory pads are enough to get the job done you might be wrong but you should absolutely get them checked first

Brakes, who needs them; they only slow you down.😆
