Since I love these Continentals, thinking I'll wear them down some more before moving up to the 700x32 versions...

What will you get from 32s that you aren't getting from 30s?

Good question... a little more stability in sandy sections? Not sure if that's correct though. I already have another bike with 700x40s, so don't want to get too wide. Just don't want to lose the nimbleness on the road. Just thinking out loud...

Is this bike primarily a road bike, or does it get a lot of multi-surface use? Multi-surface demands compromises. Also, trying a different tire is sometimes a worthwhile experiment, even if you find it's not the right choice.

I'd say it's 70/30 road/gravel. Basically, it's mostly road but I sometimes venture onto gravel sections on my way home. I think I'll try the GP5000 TRs in the 32 size and see if that gives me any benefits. Don't want tires with tread on this bike...

Sounds reasonable.

Anyone looking for a medium ADHX? There's a demo bike listed on Time's site. Buy now, thank me later.

Updated to slightly larger tires with more tread (700x32). Wanted a pop of color, so I went with these blue Gravelkings...

Quick update... I'm really liking the 700x32 Gravelkings. For the type of gravel riding I do (mostly fire roads; no singletrack), they are more than adequate. The best compliment you can give tires is that they inspire confidence. And these tires definitely do. Also, had the Ekar shifting adjusted by my bike shop. There's apparently a trick to stop the shifter from sticking to the lever. They took care of that and also played around with the B screw. I was honestly starting to get frustrated with the lackluster shifting, but it's now shifting perfectly. Anyhow, at least James Dean approves...
