Converting a HG freehub to SRAM XD

I have a Giant Reign E+ 1 (2022). I want to convert my groupset to SRAM. I'm struggling to work out whether I can just replace my Shimano HG type hub with an XD one.

Firstly, would that be possible without changing the rear hub on the wheel?

Secondly are the following attributes the ones I'd need to match?
  • Ensure it's the right BOOST (148x12 in my case)
  • Thru axle type end cap
  • Replace like for like engagement system (3-pawl with 3-pawl, ratchet with ratchet)
  • Number of points of engagement (I don't think this matters in terms of compatibility right?)
Anything specific I need to consider for it going on an emtb (durability wise)?

Appreciate any advice

All drivers or freehub bodies go with the brand and model hub you have. So if it is a Ritchey or DT hub, you get the driver from Ritchey or DT.

If you have a Shimano hub, they dont make XD drivers.

Maybe look at NX Eagle, this uses the HG type freehub, if you already have this, it eliminates the need to change this part
