Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cannondale R2000 - it is a great bike to hop on and go! Keeping up with the big guns is so much easier. Though I ride a fair amount, when I'm out riding with the die-hards, this makes it possible for me to keep up without slowing them down.

As a tip from someone who knows about this kinda stuff, I suggest you reroute your rear brake cable underneath the bars. Over the bars hasn't been used since 1983, and there is no slack in the cable.

yeah im just waiting till I need to re-wrap the handlebars, but I know what you mean. There's actually a couple inches of slack too, you just can't see it in the picture. I honestly have no idea why my lbs did it that way either, it used to be under before I got it tuned up last spring, oh well.

actually, you can just take your bars off and wrestle the cable around the right side of the bar and viola, you've got a properly routed cable.

I like the wheels they are strong, and roll great, stay true, just heavy. Let me know if you decide to sell.
Nice ride! Lovin the blue Rolfs with em. Perhaps, a set of blue stripped conti's to offset the white?

Hello Everyone,

Just thought I would introduce myself to the road bike community. I bought my first road bike a few months ago; a '10 Trek 1.5. Went on a few 10-15 mile rides throughout New Jersey. But this past weekend, I did a whopping 45 miles in about 3 hours. It was definetly a great experience and I am certainly looking forward to doing it again.

You're taking your life in your hands with those R-Sys wheels. They are only rated at slightly more than 1 DFU.

What are you worried about? It's a pretty sweet Felt! Screw carbon wheels, just enjoy! Don't let some people's ability to dump thousands and thousands of dollars on a "bad weather" bike make you insecure on your gem!

Huh? That's a pretty nice bike...especially for a college student.
