The quote I was replying to, in my view, was pretty absurd. The point of the toilet-paper dispenser being the way it is, is to emulate the rear end of a bicycle. It doesn't exist as a "convenient toilet paper dispenser", so flipping it upside down to facilitate toilet roll insertion, defeats the whole purpose and value of it. The dropouts have to face downwards. If they didn't, it wouldn't be the rear of a bicycle and there would be no point in its existence.

Gotcha! But I would be cautious using a phrase like "tongue in cheek" on this subject

Little pricey, but it looks to be in great shape.

[h=2]Vintage 1977 Schwinn Superior - $575 (lake st. louis)[/h]

For sale - 1977 Schwinn Superior that has been hanging in my garage for over 30 years. Bought new by a friend to rehab a broken leg. Used for a year or so as evidenced by the original tires that are still on the bike.

Schwinn World Voyager Road Bike 54cm made in Japan Rare Bike

I kinda like this one, with the chrome socks, chrome lugs and bar-ends. Not in the market, tho, plus it is too small.

Been listed for months. Not that I'm saying you're wrong.
But in the interest of full disclosure, I own a Rauler. One of the cleanest 70's brazing jobs I have ever seen. Comes in second only to Ron Cooper, in my experience. The ride is swell too.

A fair bit of patina, but I know some people like the holdsworths and 63's aren't always the easiest to find (I'm always jealous of the selection available to those of you who can ride 56 or 58).

Ah, but to buy a bike that you can be almost certain has not gone through any potholes, launched off of curbs, etc.-

this is the dream.

That one has the small 21" frame. Price isn't bad but unfortunately it is missing the original 1st gen. Dura Ace crankset (a pricey piece by itself), Fujita saddle and KKT toe clips/straps. The rest does appear to be original parts.
