Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

When you're a former cyclist zero fly by's are built into the equation. Sad.

Wow, a tent spot at area KOA is a ripoff, especially in October

*smh*

I have a reservation at one in Westhampton, MA for 9/17. $55, including tax, but the site has a raised pea gravel tent pad, electricity and private water tap.

No, I mean I am often that guy in person. I am better than I used to be, but reading social cues is still a daily challenge.

Do like they do in Austin - just camp on the side of the road. Especially in dense urban areas.

I have (had ) dating issues because of creeping out any girl I was interested in and being awkward in any social situation. Trust me, after the fact I can realize that many times I came off as the guy you guys are describing.

Re: word vomit or verbal diarrhea, I call it verbal piñata. You break the seal, the words have to come out. It’s much like… was it Luis? in Ant-Man described as “you put the coin in the jukebox, you gotta let the song play”.

Yeah that’ll be a best-behavior type situation. Everything’s easier with just one person.

Yeah when we watched Community, that was very much AG’s takeaway. I have much of that too, mind (my first comment about Ted Lasso was “so it’s basically a better Major League?”), but also language. And history. But especially language. Ask about a word’s meaning and you’re getting all of it. Roots, related, archaic, etymology…

Why would anyone camp in January? Crazy.

Camping season is April - October, max.
