Hello from Toronto!
Hi everyone! Great to have discovered this forum, and this sub-group in particular.
I've been lurking on the site for a few months soaking up everyone's wisdom as I work on rebuilding several vintage bikes (1984 Trek 720, mid-80s Specialized Sequoia, 80s Specialized Stumpjumper and a mid 80s Nishiki Continental). I've been obsessed with bikes for close to 50 years but as the bikes I've listed suggests, the 80s were like a peak in my love of bikes. I got into doing a lot of road riding in the early 2000s and trained on a Cervelo Prodigy for several years. I sold the bike years ago as I felt a modern racing type bike was missing something for me and I just stopped enjoying how cycling became too serious instead of something that gave me a sense of freedom. I switched over to riding a cheap fixie for years and my bike riding was mostly limited to commuting until I came across the above-mentioned Nishiki. That bike has opened the floodgates on my bike rebuilding adventures.
Anyway, I look forward to continuing to learn from this forum and possibly sharing some of my rebuild stories.

Thanks! This is such a great forum. I’m looking forward to being able to start some threads on the bikes I’m building.
