"I willing be willing to negotiate a price within reason" Thank goodness they've priced this reasonably. They've already generously come down $200 (maybe in acknowledgement of the flat tire)
Motobecane Mirage Sport - $800 ̶$̶1̶0̶0̶0̶ (Minneapolis, MN)
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...08216320%22%7D
Selling a late 70s early 80s Motobecane Mirage Sport. Almost all original excluding seat and most likely tires. Will be willing to meet for the exchange. Cash, Venmo, or zelle for the change of money. As for the price I willing be willing to negotiate a price within reason.

They are the ones taking the photo.
That was a terrifying statement - because it likely was true!

Nice idea, Mark. That would be cool to replace the drawer pulls in my basement shop with those. Ellen would really roll her eyes!

You've got to pick a pocket or two, I mean, take the picture from the drive side!

Handlebar angles
I was looking for a modern road bike (found one!) and I kept seeing ads with handlebars at crazy angles. I would need to be an octopus to put my fingers on the levers. What gives? (Quite possible I’m dumb as a stump so I have that going for me…)

I always interpret that as an effort to reduce the reach. There are plenty of reasons to reduce reach, but only a couple ways to manage it. Extreme bar angles aren't one of those ways.

I've seen several elderly dudes with their old bikes set up that way in my neighborhood recently. I always interpret it as someone wanting to get some exercise on the bike they already have, but no longer have the flexibility to ride it as designed. Free/cheap mod to let them get out and get active. Nothing wrong with that.

HYDRAULIC, in case you missed it when looking at the frame. Too bad the photo does not clearly show the massive master and slave cylinders.

Just slip that over your helmet, then you'd look practically perfect.

No, this is what you should be slipping over your helmet:
Although that's a $45 branded DaBrim, it looks like the simple idea has been cloned for very cheap, like $5 -- or maybe that's just for a version for a hardhat, which is simpler because they have a hard brim all around to hold cloth up

Here's a flipper selling a bike he can't flip. His stuff has been posted here before and his ads fill the local CL. Nothing wrong with that and not a bad deal on this one, but look at the bike in the pix and read the last words in the ad: u brakes. Bear in mind that this person purports to know bikes and care for them and is the kind of person who "will not sell a bike with bad tires" but can't identify the type of brakes on a bike he's selling. Not U brakes, not V brakes, but cantilevers.

brake type: u-brakes
condition: good
electric assist: none
frame size: 13"
handlebar type: flat
make / manufacturer: Raleigh
model name / number: M-20
suspension: none (rigi
wheel size: 26 in
I had finished the tune and detail on this bike when I noticed the tires had cracks between the treads.. I will not sell a bike with bad tires. The bike will need a good set of 26x1.95 tires and tubes and that's all.. I did not have any other suitable and am not willing to invest in new tires.. Here is a chance for a nice flip if you have the parts. 13" frame, 21 speeds, u brakes..

I don't know if a Bike Bug motor is collectible, but it sure looks bizarre.

"One good paying clown job and you will get all your money back." Hmph- that's what they all say. My last clown job didn't even cover gas.
Very old clown bicycle- $75 (Minneapolis, MN)

Skip tooth Hawthorn with 24” wheels laced clown style on 26” frame. It’s been sitting outside for many years so will need some work. One good paying clown job and you will get all your money back.
