Addiction 2022.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One of the local farmers was tilling a nearby field after midnight, last night.

My pleasure.

As with any recipe, add less or more to taste. I've messed with vanilla extract, cloves, different spices. It's a very flexible dish. Vanilla ice cream? Why not? It shares the bowl nicely.

I never know what's up my sleeve until I look.

I actually envisioned a big ole dollop of homemade vanilla ice cream with it.

It's good. Ice cream from somewhere with "creamery" in the name. rjones and datlas have plenty of those there.

Making your own puff pastry is an option, and I've done it, but so much work for very little gain. Other than the fact that it was all done at home.

Pay much more attention to you, and I will be even fatter than I am.

One of those apples is what - something like 62,000 pedal strokes, uphill, in 50/11?

I'll bet they would go well with barbeque.

Surely you jest. Even the finest college drumline in the land needs to practice.

I agree - the finest in the land do need to rehearse.

But, we are talking about the Knoxville Community Band. The drummer should be able to step up and keep the beat.

Got home at 1 am woke up at 530 am to ride. Prolly wasn’t the smartest thing I have ever done but I am stubborn.

1038 am in the morning and I am ready for sleep.

I don't know if you follow drum lines, but several of my son's bandmates played with the DCI Blue Knights and Blue Devils.

I’m starting to feel like an old car, constantly in the shop trying to keep myself running halfway decent.

- I’ve been seeing my chiropractor twice a week for the past month.

- I had a colonoscopy done yesterday.
- today I need to make an appointment for an abdominal aorta screening.

- today I also need to make an appointment for some newfangled PSMA prostate scan.

- my throwing hand thumb is finally getting back to usable after I feared I broke it playing softball.

- I can’t see ****, I’m waiting for my scheduled opthamologist visit in June.

- I can’t hear ****, I’m waiting for the new, more affordable players to get into the hearing aid game as expected within the year.

My brother was in the Blue Knights when they were facing their lean years. The Concord Blue Devils and the Santa Clara Vanguard were stomping everyone at that time. Madison Scouts too. Even the Casper Troopers were a thing. My personal favorite at the time was the Phantom Regiment. Their song choice and choreography was appealing to me. Having Drums Along The Rockies here was pretty cool, especially if you could find out where other corps were practicing.
