Loose crank
I noticed on a ride today that my crank had come loose in the bottom bracket. I can move the crank side to side. Can this have happened without any of the parts being damaged? What tools do I need to fix it?

Square Taper I presume?
If it did, it is likely the crankarm needs replacing, becuase the taper rounds out as it is softer than the BB spindle. You can just replace the arm that broke.

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.
