I'm looking to buy the first "real" bike of my younger days, a 1988 Cannondale Alpine Series, blue/yellow in the largest size.

So far not much luck searching. There is one sitting on eBay but... it's local pick-up only 800 miles away, it's small, and a little roughed up.
Sold mine originally because I started accruing too many bikes and lived in an area where mountain biking was good so full suspension made more sense. Now I live in a coffee table flat college town and I want my old bike back.

Did you ever find this bike? I just found one on eBay that was brand new sitting unbuilt in the box since 1988!! It’s the same color and a 22”. And, this guy had 2 such bikes! (His dad owned a bike shop and these bikes were found boxed up)

I realizw this reply is 2 years late, but the photo you posted is actually my bike lol. It's been a fantastic steed but I'm actually wanting to sell it now. Still in excellent condition, plus I've added a 1975 yellow Cannondale "Toot" pack to the handlebars for storage.
Let me know if you're interested. I could ship it to anywhere in CONUS.
