Triathlons

Hey any Clyde's or Athena's do Triathlons? I signed up for my first in September (Olympic length). I'm looking for any advice. I know I can ride, I have been working on my swim and run. I get to a 5k and I'm dragging a bit. My technique isn't great on the swim but I have done 2 miles in 1 shot. I don't have a wetsuit, looking to rent one for the event, any advice on fitting or finding one for our sizes? I ordered a Trisuit online, how do I know it's a "good" fit? I followed the size guide online. Thank you!

i have been racing as big fella for years. the bike to run transition is most difficult i suggest doing Bricks....train doing both as the change in discipline can be hard.
swimming is just do it.....ive done ironman qualifiyers in ocean 1 mile distance...practice transition from each sport..time is lost changing.
have fun.

Awesome, this is encouraging for sure! I have read about bricks this past week. Defiantly a hard transition from bike to run. technique in swim I am finding to be a huge saver, I have done over 2 miles in a pool in 1 shot, much different then open swim though. For this first one I just want to finish and make sure I have fun doing the Tri. I have done some practice transitions. I bought a tri suit, getting use to that in all disciplines.

Have you done a Xterra Tri? My next goal is an Xterra and then go for half Iron.
