Summer Wheels !

Well it's not summer yet but I figured I'd pull out the summer wheels early. I've ridden tri-spokes and deep rims forever it seems. But over the last two years I've stayed off my Reynolds 81's because I've been over there weight limit. I was over the weight limit for some time but three years ago I was really noticing the flex when I pounded on them hard. So I had a feather weight friend ask to use them for his Tri's and was more than happy to lend them out. But I missed running a deeper wheel so I picked up a pair of Zipp 808 for weight challenged riders. Now it's time to get out in some wind to get the feel back.

Be nice if they bounced me up the hills, the chest mount likes to give you that bounce motion.

That's why I ride alone, I can pretend I'm riding fast all the time.

The bike I picked up at the swap sale event is set to go to the paint in mid October. I will be ordering the group set, and all other parts in the next two weeks. Should have all the parts in by the time it comes back from the painter. Can't wait to get it rolling.
