Sizing of Marin Muirwoods 2022 vs 2009 and 2021
I broke the fame on my Marin Muirwoods 29 so I need a new commuter bike. I like my Muirwoods and getting another is a possibility. The other bike that looks nice is Jamis Sequel.
The 2009 Muirwoods I have is 19" https://web.archive.org/web/20100418...?serialnum=886
It has a 605mm effective top tube, and 110mm head tube.
On a few years newer Marin Muirwoods like this 2021: https://www.marinbikes.com/bikes/2021-muirwoods
The head tube is taller. Am I still looking for a 19" with 605mm ETT or do I go down to the medium with shorter ETT due to longer head tube. The fork also looks way shorter, so I think that's why the head tube is longer. I suspect I should still be looking for a 19" or a large in this case.

I notice the geometry is totally different. The head angle has changed from 72 to 67 deg while the fork offset has increased from 42 to 50mm. How will this affect the way the bike rides compared to the 2009 and 2021 above? And I am not sure if I am looking for a medium or large.

I hate asking sizing question, but shops seems to be out of everything except XS and XL, XLL bikes these days so all I can really do is look at used ones. I would totally buy a new Muirwoods or Sequel, but they are not to be found.

If you cannot test ride a bike, it might be better to buy the one that has the closest geometry to your existing bike, main reason why i bought the Muirwoods 2021 instead of the newer model besides the looks (for me) and price. I have since converted it to 1x9 and upgraded tires, saddles and some components and it's an awesome bike.
