Flat bar road bike comversion

One of my winter projects is to convert my wife's C-Dale R-1000 to a Flat bar.
My question is, are there any twistgrip shifters that will work with Ultegra F&R derailleurs. Would prefer to use this type of shifters vs trigger due to cost and simplicity of use.

Probably.

SRAM produced Shimano compatible twist shifters with friction front and up to 9 rear cogs.

SRAM shifters with names,e.g. attack, if I remember correctly will in theory work with shimano derailleurs. I hope, because I need to put grip shifters on my trail bikes.

I would recommend the Shimano flat bar road shifters because of the trim feature just like her STI levers were the gripshift front shifter is shift by feel.

Except Shimano's flat-bar shifters won't work correctly with the OP's Ultegra front derailleur. The SRAM Attack shifters work with the Shimano rear derailleur, and the "micro-ratchet" front shifter will work with the Ultegra.

Some of SRAMs grip shifts are now indexed on the left/front shifter. The ones that are friction (or, at least have many click positions) work well with all front derailleurs. I've had good results using a 2006 X-7 left-hand grip shift that had about 7 clicks using it with a 105 triple FD. In 2009 I replaced the rubber on the gripshift had worn down so much that it was hard to turn, especially when wet, so I tried to replace it with a X-9. I was disappointed to find out that the X-9 left-hand gripshift was indexed with only 3 positions. With some skilled cable adjustment and using the limiting screws, I was able to get it work OK, but I was happier when I was able to switch the 105 FD for a MTB version.

So, can anyone confirm which SRAM grip-shifts are now friction (or at least had 7+ positions) and which are indexed (with only 3 positions)?

If you want mountain grip shifters with a road front derailleur, you need the flat bar group front derailleur like FD-R443.

SRAM Attack will work, assuming 9 speed.
