Suggestions for MTB in Lake Placid
Hi all,
Headed to Lake Placid for Memorial Day weekend and packing the mountain bike. A friend and I are looking for suggestions on some trails for moderately skilled over the hill mountain bike riders. We’re looking to do a couple rides, around 2 hours each ride if possible - can anyone give some suggested trails/routes?
Thanks!!

I've never been to Lake Placid, but Trailforks is always my first port of call when I'm planning to go somewhere. Looks like there are some trail options right out of town, check out Lussi Trails...

Trailforks for the win!
My buddy and I ended up riding in on Cinderella Story and catching a bunch of the trails that connect to that. Was easy to get lost, but was very thankful to have Trailforks to point us in the right direction. Next day we parked and rode up by the North Pole/Santa’s Workshop on the way up Whiteface to ride down Poor Man’s Downhill, Gulo Gulo and a few other trails at the bottom of Whiteface. I gave a little blood when I miss judged the width of the gap between two giant boulders and took a slow-mo trip over the handlebars, but other than that, it was a blast! Trails were super dry, and the trail crew looks to have been working overtime with all the bridges and cleared downed trees we saw. Kudos to Barkeaters! We’ll be back

Glad you had a good time, and great to know there are some nice trails, I might need to take a trip at some point.
