Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If she said, "Pharma doesn't understand inflammatory arthritis," she's 100% correct. That's my insight into drug approval and clinical trial design.

No worries, I’ll be in something different by this time three years from now. I only keep the car I drive one to three years.

I recently bought an excellent, but very old book that gives the most beautiful/interesting routes in Illinois. It really is very good but being ancient, they use cue sheets and the maps are out of date as far as name changes and other changes. So, I've been digitizing routes and it can be a challenge. I've thought that maybe I'll just go old school and print out the cue sheets.

It's been several years since I've used a cue sheet. Not because I have a device that obsoleted them (I'm low tech), but rather because it's been ages since I rode in a new area that required one. Sad.

That's why I got the book. After COVID, my routes around me have wheel ruts. I’m looking for something different.

You've done enough this week - I suggest a rest day.

When I was a cyclist, (1989-2020) I didn't need cue sheets either, owing to my remarkable memory.
