Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Last night on eBay I saw a listing for a phone that's in "mint condition" except for the cracked screen.

Before you think of getting an English sports car from that era, watch this video.

When I owned my MGB, I used to joke that everyone was so excited about those new-fangled intermittent wipers, but I had intermittent lights!

Okay, to be perfectly honest, if I had a lot of money to spare, and a place to garage it and work on it, I'd be tempted to buy an English sports car, BUT it would have to be in great condition, because I'm not a car mechanic, AND it would be just for s**ts and giggles, not something I had to rely on. There's a lot you can do for yourself on those, because they're pretty simple, but I know enough to know what I don't know.

Lucas...the Prince of Darkness
My first car, at 15 1/2, was a 52 MGTD barn find that I bought for $300. I learned and failed several times at rebuilding it. I had a LOT of fun driving it when it worked. Finally sold it, disassembled for $4000.

I would be happy with an XKE, simply because the straight 6 in those are jewelry.
