Here too. There have been stories on the news about how it's happening all over. Showed a blind veteran who's service dog would hide when the explosions start leaving him with no help. Lots of stories about vets with PTSD trying to cope with nightly war sounds.
There seems to be 3 main offenders in my area, the ones with the pro-level skyrockets. You know, the ones when they launch there is a loud, deep "whump" sound and then when they explode it echoes for 2-3 seconds, rattling windows and setting off car alarms.
I don't understand what they get out of it, especially after weeks on end.

One year my wife had an early flight New Year's Day, so we stayed in Guatemala City overnight. I awoke a little past midnight and listened for the next 45 minutes. War zone or thunderstorm. Neighborhood by neighborhood.
Good times
No, I am not a Viet Nam vet.

I agree with most of that. You get a November build as opposed to a LB build, and it can be RIGHT NOW as opposed to whatever shipping method is the slowest. I like White hubs, though I do have a set of American Classics burning a hole in my toolbox... Those may go with the soon eliminated HED alloy rim offering... So much to do.
Of course, this is likely fogged out rambling, as Georgia-Mae and Lotus like the squeaky toy action at 3 am, along with the fireworks til midnight.

We will need nearly daily pics of Lotus as she grows.

Funny thing is, the car noise and neighbors talking or playing music kill me, but fireworks would be fine. Haven’t heard one yet though.

Anywho, they were being kids - yelling, running, making a ruckus, etc - while playing in the neighbor's front yard (I don't think that the neighbor boy was even present, though). Then they start spilling in to my front yard. Fine, whatever. But then they start peering in my windows ("ooh - I saw someone!"), as I'm still walking around in bibs and shirtless, post-sticky-morning-ride. Then they started shooting their Nerf blasters at my window screens whenever my daughter looked outside to see what all the commotion was about. That's when I had to go shake my fist at them.

It seems breeders fall of the earf, no matter how hard we try to stay in touch. We stayed in touch with Cheryl, which is where Georgia came from, and now Lotus.
Lotus, loving the grass. I was going to do a little walk with her, but I put the harness on, and she decided a nap under the tree was way more better.

These were some kids from down the block - they're friends with the boy next door. Not a damn one of them seems to have practiced any kind of social distancing at any point during the lockdown, not that it really matters as far as today is concerned, but to provide a bit of context.

Georgia-Mae.

What is wrong with people?
I'm already a little more alert out there. And not in a good way.
Oh and good luck!

I was in by 11. My first normal ride in a week. A dump truck went out of its way to enter my lane, coming from the opposite direction, inside a village fortunately. The cop following him expressed his disapproval. And in that same village, as I was adjusting the seatpost, a car did the same just so it could honk at me.
