Cardiologist discharged me!
Cardiologist discharged me today. After she scared the devil out of me 3 years ago... And, cleared me for whatever heart rate in exercise I can tolerate... I'm 58, and 140 pounds lighter than 3 years ago. Resting heart rate was 105 to 110, now 57 to 62... No more pills, not even gout meds!
I'm happy! Now to get this ankle fixed...

140 pounds lost! That's like cycling alone rather than with another person on your bike with you. Congratulations

Impressive!
Yes, get the ankle working well. Hopefully it's not bothering you too much and keeping you off your bike any. All I can offer for that is pedal in the easy gears.

You’re definitely headed in the right direction! Hopefully for you it’s sustainable and your healthier habits will be the new norm. A resting heart rate 100+ wouldn’t have lasted very long!!! Glad the doc got your attention.

It is better to know a good cardiologist and not need one than to need one and not know one.
Paraphrased from George "King" Stahlman's bail bond service, "Better to know me and not need me than to need me and not know me."
