extra thick work socks

was picking up some essentials at Walmart this morning & wandered into the sock dept. they had a sock that would be great for my 2nd job, where I spend a lot of time on my feet. I used to get similar socks at Sears but not anymore. the units I still have, are getting worn out & I want to replace them

this is what they had
Dickies Steel Toe Crew Nano Glide Max Cushion Work Sock size 6-12
which isn't going to work on my feet because I need size 13-15

been looking at a few places online like ebay & amazon but I was hoping someone might have another source to check

the package looked something like this

No help on those. I have several pairs of thick socks from Cabelas. Several years old so I don't have specofics. Though they do make a thinner sock also which is nice for Summer boot wear.

I’ll admit I’m confused at the nature of this thread. are these socks for Clydesdales cycling?

all that said, I recommend Darn Tough merino socks. Buy once, cry once. I don’t wear cotton socks anymore.

Dachstein are my go to. Lots of big sizes. Too thick for my cycling but good in other footwear. Alpaca socks in XL can be found, too

Darned Tough socks are beloved in the thruhiking backpacker community. Pretty bulley proof

@ REI, the Darn Tough Paul Bunyan over-the-calf "full cushion" 65% merino wool socks are available for a bit over $26/pr (if purchasing 3+ of them, along with free shipping if purchase >$50). Haven't had any, yet, but I might get a couple of pair to see how they work.

Another plug here for Darn Tough socks. I bought too many pairs it seems, while I was still working construction because they absolutely will not wear out and now I can't buy another sock for the rest of my life
No issues wearing them year round either.
