Ok I have a test today for all you studs, a little more testosterone required than the daily Wordle contest. How many of these tools can you identify?
This is some of my dad's stuff that I reclaimed 24 years ago when he passed on. He was a truck mechanic in the military but later got into construction and cabinetry . . . you should see the altar he made for his church. Awesome. He was a master of all trades he dipped his hand into, and was self-taught in most of them. That's how they rolled in those days.
Anyway, I have to get rid of some of this stuff I've been holding onto for years. He's got power tools from the days they were made of metal so they weigh a ton. and of course they all still work. I'm going to take a lot of the stuff to a consignment shop because I just don't have the time and patience for eBay.
I'll be showing more as I dig through this dusty workshop of mine.

Cooled a bit here today. My e-bike friends brought their old bikes. No problem for her but he isn't supposed to get his heart rate up. Of course, I went overboard trying to pay them back for their earlier e-riding. Dumb.
Going to go back up to 100 this weekend, unless predictions are wrong again. Last Sunday I was resting near a water fountain on the mup and a runner stopped for water. She said she was on mile 8 going for 15. Cray cray in 100 degree heat.

Living in IL I never wore gloves in the summer. Down here I'm generally gloveless in fall and early spring - I have had a few close calls climbing with my hand slipping on the hoods so now I always wear gloves in the summer unless it's a particularly easy ride.

I once hit a bump and my right hand "fell" from my hood onto the drop. It was a miracle because I have basically no bike handling skills to speak of.

I will say that one of the side benefits of being a long sleeve/sun sleeves person is that much less sweat makes its way down to the hands. Well, for me, at least.

Never realized it until I moved South, but it’s pretty bad. I’ve ruined laminated cards if I don’t put my wallet in a plastic bag. After one mtb ride it looked like I had just jumped in a river, kit and all.
