If where you ride is flat like Florida, Ogden, Phoenix, any of the Plaines states, or just about any random multi-use path in a metropolitan area & you don't care about how fast you ride, or how long it takes to get anywhere or the effort involved...Naw, your bikes weight doesn't matter.
Base2
(Whose various bikes weigh between 15 &105 pounds, depending.)
Pull any roller-skaters with that stylish grab bar on the saddle?

I really think we should come up with 3.2 pounds of suggestions to round it up to 50 lbs.
It's the bicycle equivalent of a parade float. I'd love riding that thing around from time to time.

My 1979 25" Schwinn Varsity was 46 pounds too. One of the nicer riding bikes I've ridden. Could ride it no handed all through the neigborhood or even do a wheelie riding as far as one wished to do so.
It was a great bike for the flatter part of the state I use to live. It was even okay for the hillier part of the state I now live in. But when I went from just short rides of five miles to 30, 50 and 100 mile rides, it had to go. I wouldn't think of owning anything on the heavier side of 20 lbs for the riding I do today.
So to answer your question, it depends.
Nice bike by the way, I'm sure for just tooling around the town it's more than adequate.

He had a couple threads where he described putting on that fork, which has to be the heaviest one in the history of bicycle cutlery.

pretty nice! the wheel geometry is a bit different so it took a moment or two to get used to the new feel. And I have only ridden it about 5 or 10 minutes so far in two trips as it is still cold as **** here. My area is actually very hilly but for the most part it is just mild hills in my particular area, I only have one troublesome hill on my normal ride up to the "downtown" area for lunch or a ride in the park. I changed the rear hub over to an eagle
two-speed kickback hub to help with the hills but it only helps so much, but for the most part, I love it.

Nah, lt's like a 1970 Cadillac Convertible with the 472 ci engine.
You don't advertise the weight, just enjoy the ride.
Happy trails!

I think this is one you celebrate for its glorious impracticality.

I think it is 46.8 pound of cool. I don't even know how much my fancy unobtainium/carbon fibery wonder bikes weigh but I might have to find out just for fun.

No. But what it lacks in weight it makes up for in another way.

It I over half as much as my Riese and Müller Supercharger2 with dual batteries, a Bosch Gen4 Performance Line Motor and a Rohloff hub and a Fox 36 but hey if you enjoy the bike it doesn't matter so much. It just a heavy beast. Heavy bikes aren't always bad and lightweight bikes aren't always good but I like to generally meet in the middle somewhere (except on the aforementioned bike which is heavy but is a dream)

I've been riding bikes that heavy my whole life. Once you get momentum, it stays for a while when you are slowing down.
I do centuries with ease and a few cramps. LOL.
My loaded tour bike is 120 lbs. Pushed up parts of several hills of course. Nobody else will touch it. LOL.

This isn't a complaint, because I've found it very entertaining, but this bike has already been the subject of several threads. This one probably tells the story most completely:

I am glad people are cool with multiple threads, I was unsure if I should do that.
