Bianchi Volpe - late 1990s ?

Just bought this frame for my next project. I need some help identifying the year of manufacture. Any ideas?

It's a 1989 model manufactured by Hodaka of Taiwan.

Volpes are one of the best all rounders. I’ve owned 3 and still have one in the shed built up fixed with S&S couplers.

I bet that will take 700x38s. 🤙🏻

my first touring bike was a Volpe. posting a photo here for the ridiculous handlebar/shifter setup I put on it, having not actually toured prior to building it up.

Nice look! Where did you get those white tires?

Thanks for the information. I did not think it was that old!

They are Vittoria Rubino Pro tires. However, that build dates from 2008 so I'm not sure if they're still made in white. You can read the full article on the build here: https://djcatnap.com/bianchi-volpe-touring-bike/

Nice ride, lots of braze-onage. BUT, only single eyelets on the dropouts. Did they ever make a Volpe which had two per drop?
