Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My new whip

What are your thoughts this bad boi.
I am getting used to riding fixed from a single speed.

I am only riding it on a track by my house until I learn to skid.

Taking it slow and loving it so far

That's a really sharp looking bike. But, what you want to learn how to do is brake w/o skidding, because you will stop faster that way. I've ridden and raced on velodromes for over 40 years, and I never rode a track bike on the street w/o a front brake. This has saved my bacon more than once.

It looks really cool. I like the bar tape and all the black accents. New fixed gear guy here myself. Getting skidding down pat was a lot easier for me on polished concrete floors (in a big workshop). Enjoy the ride, man

Sexy bike. Now put some brakes on it and you got a great bike!
