2019 Giant Roam 1 fork help
Hey bike brothers 😎
I need some advice I'm trying to get a new fork for my bike . It's a 2019 giant roam 1 . Currently it has a suntour ncx or ndx I'm not sure fork . I cycle about five times a week and I'm about 230 lbs . I'm wondering since I mostly ride on bike
lanes , sidewalks when I feel safer and sometimes grass when I need to get around someone . I need to find a fork that fits my taste . Do I have to go suspension because most the time I would lock out my travel anyways . I'm looking for a fork with disc brakes and QR . My budget is up to 200 so the less it is the more beer 🍺 I get after lol . Can anyone guide me to a righteous fork . Thank you in advanced

Hey, hopefully someone will eventually chime in with some specific suggestions, but until then. I'll weigh in.
first, if your bike originally came with a suspension fork, replacing it with a rigid fork will probably throw off the frame's sizing, standover height, and all that, so I'd stick with suspension.
Also, 200 bucks is a very, very low end rig, and I recall an old saying that "friends dont let friends ride suntour," (LOL!). But if you plan on keeping them mostly locked out, I guess that would minimize the downside of poor suspension quality, and make it just a properly sized fork.
So, until someone chimes in with some good experienced based suggestions, I would just start shopping and reading reviews, and take your best shot. At that price/quality level, you're probably not going to find,or miss out,on any big home runs. Good luck......
