No peace from now on at home or anywhere else for a long time to come.

Really hope he's up to the task long term, new wife to be too.

You guys have no sense of humor for your heroes and he just stomped into that role after a very long drought.

Fits in a jersey pocket if you don't mind stretching it a little.

Remco is very intelligent and is able to adapt faster dan anyone else (his "weaknesses", like descending or explosive sprints on steep gradients, were gone after one winter of focused training). He has already faced the pitfall you suggest (in the Giro d'Italia last year), and learned from it. So has his team. We're Belgians, we compensate our underdeveloped sense of humor by drinking beer.

Schepdaal, after Remco's Vuelta win, the next morning.

No worries, all good, glad he won and was great to watch, hope he keeps it up.

My route home from work follows a canal through some farm fields. There's usually water in the canal, which is also occupied by some Western Box Turtles. I don't see them every day, but when I do, it cheers me immensely. I don't know why. No pics because those buggers are deceptively fast!

Edit: I don't think they're Western Box Turtles. I don't know what kind they are. But I really enjoy seeing them.

Nice night with the better half (much) playing singles I pulled out this 12" 45 rpm hot mixed version from a hunnert years ago. Pretty sure I bought it at 99 Records on Mcdougal. Killer.

Riding on new tires make me happy. Especially if they are really good ones.

I picked up a vintage mountain bike (and all chrome 1986 Ross Mount Hood) to ride in next year's Cino. Three days later my buddy Dana picked up almost the exact same bike. He calls it the "Spite Bike" because he paid less than I did.

Sorry, the winner is clearly the gentleman on the left with the rear cantilever brake, regardless of the cost. (Sorry, I hate U-brakes)

You got it wrong man! Look more closely. My bike has the uber-cool and quite effective Suntour roller cam brakes, not U-brakes.

When your non-fendered bike fits into the trunk of your car when you need to just get away. No need for a rack or wrestling it into the back seat--raining, car washes, overnights, no worries.

I’m Cheerful that I’ve had ZERO flats in 2022. Yes I know it’s not December yet and I should keep my mouth shut, but I haven’t had a flat-free year since the Clinton administration. Heck one year I had over 15…thank you Compass extra lights.
