No updates in a week? Do only two people have this bicycle? Where are all the pictures?

certainly seems odd that there are not more. got sick of having to tighten rear spokes after every ride and took it to a bike shop. They said it was not tensioned properly. $32 later it feels like it should have from the get go. I do like it and am amazed at how easy 50 miles go by on it.

I went ahead and pulled the fenders to fit larger tires on my 2012 XOXO. I wanted to go a bit more dirt oriented so was looking at Humptulips Ridge rather than RTPs. I found that Race King Racesport 2.2s were lighter than Humptulip Extra Lights and quite a bit cheaper. Mine were ~463g and ~481g and measured ~51mm on CR-18 rims @ ~25psi. Our tandem has RTPs on wider Areoheat rims measuring ~52mm. The Race Kings are a very tall tire and there is only 6-7mm clearance at the fork crown. They are fast and smooth. I took them out for a test ride and kept wanting to go just a bit further returning home 11 miles later.

I had one of those, ordered directly from Jitensha in Berkeley. It cost a lot less than $3K at the time (frame and fork):

Now one of these arrived yesterday:

First impression is that those M-bars need to go! I like that it took about 10 minutes to set up, given how much is already completed. It's surprisingly heavy though I haven't weighed it yet. Feels very smooth and stable after a quick test ride around the block.

did you order one or thinking about it? there is someone selling one on the ibob page that looks like a great deal. it is the first batch so a nicer frame and nicer wheelset. I think these newer frames must be heavier than advertised. be interested to see if anyone has weighed their bare frame.

Those purple framesets are really tempting to me, but I actually have a purple XO-2 in my basement. I think I am going to try to push myself to set it up for winter riding on the trails, if I can get past the idea of exposing it to being wet frequently.
