October goal - 131, enough to beat last year's October and match last year's mileage of 1,301.
Actual - 133 miles, beating last year's October and total mileage. Dark to day, rain predicted for tomorrow. That's with 18 fewer riding days (vacations without bike) than in 2021. I look up to the folks who ride more, but I'm happy with my year, and I'm looking forward to the trainer and next Spring.
Tuesday-Thursday (11/1-3) are predicted to be sunny, light wind, and high 60s, but I'm getting my flu shot tomorrow, and that usually gives me a couple of days of flu symptoms. Bummer.

About 6 miles on Friday for my first ride of the month.
Saturday I combined trains and bikes for an 84 mile overnight camping trip despite a coastal storm on Sunday. I was reduced to 4 mph going over a couple of the bridges and 8 mph at times on the flats, but it was worth it.
A little early for vibrant colors in S. Jersey. This coming weekend those blueberry bushes in the first photo should be a cool shade of red.

A tale of two rides. Beautiful one day. Not so much the second day.
One cute aspect was that the state park was having its Halloween Weekend for campers. People decorated their sites, and there was trick or treating for the kids.
When I got back to town I went straight to my local to watch the Philles clinch a World Series spot. On Thursday evening I tested + for Covid. First day back at work today. I am working in a satellite office, so I am alone.

Final was 226.2 miles. A bit short of goal but 17 hours over 16 days is enough to maintain health and then some.

Didn’t even break 200, let alone 250. Got sick and then started a temporary job that precluded any riding. On to November.
