I came here hoping to post some photos of a bike. I found on the Long Island, New York. Spent a week cleaning it up I regret I have those before pictures, forgive me I’m new at this. Anyway, I’m hoping someone may recognize it. I now realize nobody can recognize it because I can’t post the damn photographs odd rule this side has

Good Morning and welcome to the forums.

Can you tell us a bit more about the bike? Is it a “10 speed” style bike or a mountain bike or maybe a three speed?

Is the frame lugged?

are there brand and model names on any of the parts?

back in the late ‘80s Shogun had a model called Samuri, does your bike have this “triple triangle” frame design?

We've had a few Samurai bicycles posted on the forum in the past. Unfortunately, none of members have had any information on the brand. The bicycles themselves have been manufactured by multiple sources in Japan and Taiwan, and, so far, all have dated from the 1970s. This suggests that the brand was not owned by an actual bicycle manufacturer but a marketing company who had the bicycles contract manufactured. The company was likely US based.

The subject bicycle is typical of an Asian manufactured 3 speed of the era.. Based on the code stamped into the rear dropout, yours was manufactured by Giant of Taiwan during May 1977. That certainly fits within the timeframe of the relatively rare SunTour 3 speed, internally geared hub. Selective photo assist. More photos here; https://www.bikeforums.net/g/user/561928

Participate in the forum. Believe me, you could find enough interesting threads to post a question or comment to get to 10 posts very quickly - today in fact if you are actually motivated to participate.

Otherwise, put your photos on a photo hosting site and put a link to it here.

Really, it's very simple. It will be interesting to see if you actually make half an effort.
